VRcontext S.A.—a spin-off of Tractebel Engineering (a Suez Group company)—is a privately owned Virtual Reality Software company headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, with offices in Houston, Texas, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and a global network of over 30 value-added resellers.
Incorporated in 2000, VRcontext is widely recognized for its flagship products, Walkinside® and ProcessLife®, and for a decade of pioneering VR technology development. The results of over 60 man-years of R&D, these two products are fast becoming the worldwide standards in the Oil & Gas, Process, Energy, Architecture/Engineering/Construction (AEC), and Homeland Security markets.

Our Mission
VRcontext’s main contribution is the creation of a seamless pass-through link between the engineering design activities and the life cycle of critical and massive assets in terms of operations and maintenance, safety, training, simulations of potential incidents, disaster recovery planning and execution, and decommissioning. Collaboration, full immersive simulation, and networking allow various disciplines to better understand, communicate about, monitor, and manage their assets globally.

ProcessLife and Walkinside focus on the Oil & Gas, Process, Energy, AEC, and Homeland Security markets. With ProcessLife, VRcontext has developed a framework and a suite of applications encompassing all aspects of operations, maintenance, safety and security, and training that provide real-time access to SCADA and DCS information, links to databases (including production, scheduling, and maintenance), document management, and decommissioning of assets.
These solutions enable critical information-sharing between O/Os and their Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) firms and contractors to help them visualize design, maintenance, and operational data through a single unified and complete virtual 3D model of the asset, built from diverse input formats.
