BP teamed up with VRcontext to deploy technology in our North Sea Schiehallion field to help steer an ROV around complex seabed equipment, and to monitor real-time pressure and temperature parameters, while managing asset integrity data.
The VRcontext solutions enable intuitive, real-time manipulation for 3D model review without the special training required for other powerful CAD viewers. They also offer an alternative to flexible 3D viewers that generally cannot handle very large models and are not connected via tags to supporting databases.

We are one of the leading oil companies in the world and we always looking to take advantage of the solutions that newly developed technology offer us. We felt that we could do better in integrating our processes we would gain smoother work flows, and as a direct consequence, save time and money.
