Walkinside helps users conveniently capture all 3D CAD geometry data of all the individual components of the asset generated by Engineering/Procurement/Construction (EPC) firms, as well as associated engineering information. This information is combined with laser scan data, aerial photography, and digital terrain data to assemble a mock-up of the complete asset in a 3D Virtual Reality (VR) world. This unified digital mock-up of the plant is automatically produced for design engineers and non-specialists who may be unfamiliar with conventional 3D CAD review tools.
Walkinside extends the life of a 3D model from the design phase to the operation phase by means of ‘smart links’ to databases. Its intuitive interface allows users to effectively coordinate, collaborate, and communicate to reach appropriate and faster decisions.
